Until COVID-19 do us apart: Music Scenes in Lockdown

This transnational project aims to understand how the creative and working lives of people in the music industry have been impacted by the pandemic.

Given the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project offers a significant opportunity to examine and evaluate the importance of the pandemic’s impacts in the creative processes in Europe, in both an individual and collective sense, in a time of rapidly shifting and increasingly socio-economic uncertainty.

The project is currently asking for the contributions of people involved in music-making and promotion to complete a short survey:

>> Music & COVID-19 | Online Survey <<

We invite all people involved in music-making and promotion to complete a short survey based on your experiences during the pandemic. This includes those with full, part, and sporadic employment as musicians, singers, DJs, educators, teachers, managers, promoters, venue owners, sound technicians, journalists, critics, and bloggers.

Anonymous — Voluntary — Relevant
It will result in a report and handbook of recommendations.

The questionnaire is being conducted in Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany. The analysis and conclusions resulting from this survey will serve as a basis of a report and a handbook of recommendations to be shared with relevant institutions and individuals (e.g. cultural institutions, policy makers, etc.), so they can be made aware of how Covid 19 has affected the music sector, and respond accordingly.
